Hey I’m Dan Pallotta 👋️
I'm a data scientist at Walmart Global Tech and a graduate of Northwestern's Master's of Data Science program. My work sits at the intersection of signal processing, forecasting, and geospatial analysis.
Within Walmart's FinTech team, we maintain a suite of forecasting models—ranging from traditional econometric solutions to SOTA deep learning implementations (with a focus on transformer-based methods)—that predict domestic business outcomes. I'm also a contributor to the statsmodels library for X13 decomposition methods. Previously, I built pay equity and wage/hour solutions with Resolution Economics and specialized in seasonal adjustment with the Consumer Price Index.
